April 24, 2025 – Morristown, NJ – In a move to advance proactive risk management and improve policyholder protection, Co-operative Insurance Companies has announced the launch of a new fire prevention initiative that provides the Ting smart sensor and three years of service at no cost to eligible homeowners. This initiative is part of Co-operative’s broader loss prevention strategy, enabled through its strategic partnership with vipHomeLink, a digital home management and prevention platform.
The program will initially roll out to 1,000 policyholders across Vermont and New Hampshire in its first phase.
Developed by Whisker Labs, Ting is a simple plug-in sensor and service that monitors a home for electrical hazards that can lead to fires. It provides early detection of problems in home wiring, appliances and devices, and utility-provided power. Ting delivers real-time alerts and works directly with homeowners to identify and mitigate electrical fire hazards.
