Security Mutual Insurance to Offer Members the Ting Fire Prevention Program

February 27, 2025.  Morristown, NJ. Security Mutual Insurance announced a new loss prevention program that will provide Ting electrical fire sensors and three years of fire prevention service at no cost to its homeowner members. Enabled through its recent partnership with vipHomeLink, Security Mutual will provide Ting devices to over 1,000 policyholders at launch, and is planning for program expansion in the future.

Ting is a simple plug-in sensor, created by Whisker Labs, that monitors a home for electrical hazards that can lead to fires. It provides early detection of problems in home wiring, appliances and devices, and utility-provided power. Ting delivers real-time alerts and works directly with homeowners to identify and mitigate electrical hazards.
